Getting away from basic white walls is always going to improve the look in any room of the house.
The wood color of the kitchen cabinets must match well with the color of the paint.
As a tip, don't paint your way into a dark dungeon pit that requires blazing lights to see your hand in front of your own eyes.
In other words, keep it bright and your mood will be better. It's a fact that a bright home is more cheerful.
